LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. All the students must carry identity cards when they enter the library failing which they will not be allowed to use the library facilities.
  2. Books will be issued only on presentation of a library card, which can be borrowed for 7 days only.
  3. Only 2 books will be issued against library card.
  4. Books must be returned on or before the due date, failing which a fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be applicable.
  5. If the library card is lost, 25/- will be charged for an issue of duplicate library card.
  6. Please check the book before borrowing. If a book is torn, spoiled due to rain, stained due to photocopying or loose from binding, this should be reported to the library staff at the counter. Borrower is responsible for the poor condition of the books while returning.
  7. A minimum fine of Rs 500/- or cost of book, whichever is higher will be charged for any book damaged due to photocopying rains, stains, torn, etc.
  8. If a book is lost or damaged the borrower must replace the book, or in case of non-availability, pay the cost with the prevailing price, or original price, whichever is higher.
  9. All the students are expected to read the notice board for library timing and other facilities.
  10. Every reader who enters the library must sign the Attendance Register.
  11. Readers are not allowed to borrow books on the library card of another reader.
  12. Mobile phones to be switched off or to be kept on silent mode in the library premises.
  13. Library staff will not be responsible for reader’s personal belongings.
  14. Reference material should not be taken outside the library.
  15. A recall system for overdue books will be performed by sending an overdue note to the concerned student through the class teacher.
  16. Taking books outside the library is strictly prohibited. He/she will be debarred from the college for 1 month & permanently prohibited to use the library facility.
